Scam Alert! FAKE Norton Emails

Aw, how cute!

A precious fake email from a scammer who can't spell.

Did you receive an email like this?

𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿,⛔️ 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟰𝗵𝗿

Notice anything?

So let's be real here... these creeps could totally fix their spelling or even be English Majors (what a waste), but misspellings are typically the first clue of a phishing email.

Major corporations like Norton have copyeditors and professional writers. This type of mistake is very uncommon.

THIS email is. a. SCAM.

There are a hundred types of email phishing scams out there and this is one of them.

Don't panic. Don't CLICK.

Users of the Norton Apps such as Norton Mobile Security, Norton Family and Norton Safe Web may receive email alerts and notifications.

To insure the emails you receive are legitimate, it's better not to click links in emails but rather visit your account via a bookmark.

Web Developer, Author, Publisher & Designer

I've been designing, programming, writing and publishing online since 1995. I've worn many hats throughout my life, but the common core of my career has always been media. Besides the portfolio you see on TNW Creations, my internet presence has been substantial for over 2 decades. In 1995, while still in college, I founded TNW Creations and became part of the grassroots development for teaching the Lakhota language online. By 2004, my bilingual work was listed on many sites, including National Geographic , Encarta and Touchstone Pictures Hidalgo. When I'm not designing and writing, you'll find me managing MagicStoryLand.Com, creating kid-friendly game & video content, posting salty articles about cyber threats and SEO, leading Girl Scouts, moderating UnifyLife.Org and enjoying my  community, church & family.
