Before I re-introduce myself for the new folks here, I can't help but say the following(because It IS that Important) and that is.......................Words cannot express how VERY fortunate we all are to have this web site to come to !          For those of us, who "really, and truly" Respect and Honor the Great Lakota people/culture/history and Future, what Tashna Whirlwind Horse has created here is a blessing of a Gigantic proportion !!!

Having said that, my board "name" is SITTING BULL was RIGHT !! .It is not a name given to me, and that must be made factual. (I could not be so honored) !
I've been here since march/2005. I'm non Native, I worked for, and retired from American Airlines for 20+ years, and came Out of retirement to(presently) work for Amtrak(America's passenger Railroad).   After much reading of factual information, I found Ta tanka iyo Tanka (Sitting Bull) to  (among other things)  be the Most Honest and straightforward of all the Great Native leaders of the past. This is not to take anything away from other great leaders like Crazy Horse, Geronimo, Chief Joseph or other famous Native Leaders !          After the words "Sitting Bull" comes..."was RIGHT !!.    This is to punctuate that Sitting Bull knew without question, and very early on, that the US Government...was, is, and sadly..Will be..Liars and Thieves as it pertains to the Lakota people of  years gone bye, and the Lakota of North and South Dakota today!   Believe it or not, factions of the US Government are STILL Enraged over the defeat of Custer @ the little big horn, and to this day the Lakota still suffer repercussions !   The Lakota, followed secondly by the Blackfeet of Montana, have FINALLY given me the Truest "meaning of life" .  It took me 57 years, and a Final rejection of America's largest religion to arrive at this point !
