Well i haven't seen many, so i will say Dances with Wolves and Bury my heart, but i would love to see more. Lucky with Amazon, we can get almost everything.

I have to say that my very favorite is Dances with Wolves but I also love

Thunderheart.  I haven't seen Dreamkeeper or Skins yet but I want to

check them out.

all of the above are great... but one I did not see you list is "last of the dog soldier"... I love the idea of it... the owl scene in the trailer in thunderhart was close to an experience I had many years ago with a friend of mine

I have to agree with those who have said, "Dreamkeepers" as well as "The Last of the Dog Soldiers."  But Dreamkeepers tops my list as it shows both a current and ancient perspective of Natives.  I show both in my high school classes and my students love them. (and they can be the harshest critics. :)

I thought much of Dances.... It shows NA culture from within and does so without so many of the stereotypes..just a few. Nothing we humans do is perfect. However, Black Robe has more to do with the Eastern cultures from which my heritage stems. So I am partial to it for personal reasons. I thought it was a good effort. I am waiting to see We Shall Remain on PBS. I have a hunch it will be worth watching. It is said to be in five parts and could speak to and for so many of us. After all, the title is correct. We are still here and we will have our place. Was'te.
